In this video, Michael, co-author of the dog picture book “Bash and Lucy Fetch Confidence,” sings “Good Dog Blue” to his puppy, Hudson. While he sings, his puppy kisses him. Such loving behavior from a furry friend will encourage kids to take risks. For example, they may try to hit a high note–or read a really hard book.

      Melissa,
You’re so right that Michael is fortunate that he has a dog to sing to. And a dog who kisses him while he’s singing!

      Hi Aiden,
Yes, the kids who benefit from this program are fortunate to have it in their city.
It’s such a great idea! As I mentioned, we hope to someday train Hudson to be an “official” good listener, (as he is unofficially now) so that he can help kids learn to read.
